How long after back surgery can i hopefully feel better?

I had a disc removed and a titanium plate put in my lower back June 11th. I feel better as far as the incision goes but am curious how long until I can hope for some relief in my back. What is normal for surgery recovery on a back surgery to feel if the surgery worked.

I had a C-5,6 fusion in 2002 and still have some stiffness and pain, but it isn’t as bad as before surgery. Do your stretching exercises the way your physical therapist directs and the pain will at least be bearable. You need to strengthen your back muscles to help support the lumbar region.
